Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 July 2026
This is a placeholder privacy policy for the early-testing phase of Ariadne. Replace it with a lawyer-reviewed version, and one that matches what the app actually collects, before any public launch or app-store submission.
Who we are
Ariadne ("we", "us") is a mobile application that offers a gentle space to write out and work through everyday worries. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
What we collect
- The tangles and messages you write. Stored so they're there when you come back. You can delete a tangle at any time.
- Account information. You can start as a guest with no email. If you create an account, we store the email address and display name you provide.
- Basic usage events. Anonymous signals like opening the app or creating a tangle, used only to understand whether the app is working.
How we use it
- To provide the core features — saving your tangles and generating Ariadne's replies.
- To keep your account secure and restore it when you sign back in.
- To improve the app in aggregate. We do not sell your data.
AI-generated replies
Ariadne's reflections are generated by a third-party AI provider. The text of your message is sent to that provider to produce a reply. We do not use your conversations to train models.
Data retention & deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. Deleting a tangle removes its messages; deleting your account removes your data. To request deletion, contact us at the address below.
Not medical data
Ariadne is a self-help tool, not a medical or clinical service, and is not a substitute for professional care.
